Long Weekend in Ho Chi Minh City

When we have a long weekend, which is almost one every month, we get away.  This time we decided to head to Vietnam.  Our first impressions were that first of all we are thankful for Bangkok traffic and drivers, we have never heard so much honking and seen so many motorbikes!  But with that aside, we had a great time exploring a new city and culture.

One day we spent our walking around at the Vietnam War Museum, The Reunification Palace and the Chu Chi Tunnels.

The food was amazing in Vietnam. Pho, Vermicelli Bowls and fresh fruit were everywhere we turned and we definitely had our fair share.

Around the city there were parks with tall trees and grass to hang out on.  We also went to the Jade Pagoda that had turtles in the pond outside.
